Awful Day Ever

It all started with a case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't do it to look right. As I was running out the door, I trippedon and landed all over myself. To make matters worse, I was extremely behind schedule for a very important appointment.

I flustered. My {boss|teacher|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was pointless.

The rest of the day was an absolute nightmare. was a catastrophe. I get anything done.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
